  • Do you work across both permanent and contract placements?

    Both. We place contractors for interim cover, project work, and periods of rapid growth, and we can mobilise a qualified contractor in under 48 hours. Permanent searches typically place within 10 days. The approach differs because the candidate pool differs. Permanent searches draw from passive talent who are not actively looking, while contractors are generally available to start immediately.

  • What makes your process different from a generalist recruiter?

    We only work in finance and accounting, which means the market knowledge, the networks, and the judgement we bring are built entirely in this space. We understand team structure, ownership complexity, compensation benchmarks, and what good looks like at each level. That context is what separates a placement that performs from one that does not.

  • How do you assess whether a candidate is the right fit for our business?

    We meet every candidate we represent. That conversation covers experience, motivations, cultural alignment, and long-term potential, not just what is on a CV. In most cases we have known these people for years and are deliberate about who we put forward and when. You will not receive a shortlist of available bodies. You will receive four candidates we would genuinely back.

  • What industries do you work across?

    We are industry agnostic when it comes to the businesses we support, but we are not generalists. We understand how size, ownership structure, and organisational complexity shape what a finance team needs. Our clients range from ASX top 10 companies and private equity backed businesses through to high growth start ups and not for profits across sectors including retail, FMCG, financial services, healthcare, technology, and professional services.

  • What happens after a placement is made?

    The process does not end at offer accepted. We manage references, navigate counteroffers, and stay in contact with both you and the placed candidate through the onboarding period. If something is not working, we would rather know early. Our repeat client rate reflects the fact that we stay accountable well past day one.

  • What roles do you typically place, and at what level?

    We specialise exclusively in finance and accounting, placing professionals from newly qualified through to CFO level. This includes financial control, FP&A, treasury, tax, audit, and commercial finance roles across a wide range of industries and business types.

  • Will you put me forward for roles without speaking to me first?

    Never. We take 30 to 45 minutes with every candidate we represent, either in person or over a call. We want to understand where you are, where you want to go, and what kind of environment will actually suit you. We will not send your CV anywhere without your knowledge and your sign off.

  • I am not actively looking right now. Is it still worth talking to you?

    Yes, and honestly most of the people we place are not actively looking when we first connect. The strongest opportunities in this market rarely get advertised. If you are open to the right conversation we would rather have it now than when you are already deep into a search elsewhere.

  • How long does the process typically take?

    For permanent roles, most searches place within 10 days from when we engage with you as a candidate. For contract roles the timeline is considerably faster and roles can move within 48 hours. We will always give you a clear picture of where the client is in their process and what to expect at each stage.

  • What support do you provide through the offer and onboarding stage?

    We stay involved through to when you are settled in the role. That means preparing you for every stage of the interview process, managing the offer conversation on your behalf, and being a direct line if anything comes up through the transition. A counteroffer from your current employer is a conversation we have had many times. You will not be left to navigate it alone.
